Today, meet Tiffany Sheffield, a Program Analyst – Conservation and Load Management for NYSEG and RG&E. She’s based in Rochester.

Q. How long have you been with AVANGRID?

A. I have been with the company for 20 years. I’ve worked in three different departments in my career and the focus has always been on improving customer experience.

Q. What do you love about your job?

A. I love the team that I am a part of. We are close knit, even though we are spread out across NY. We work effortlessly together and you don’t find that everywhere. I love that our job is to work on Energy Efficient Programs to offer cost effective energy usage reduction opportunities for our customers.

Q. How would you explain what you do?

A. I am behind the scenes supporting energy efficiency programs for NYSEG and RG&E. I work closely with vendors who deliver the programs to our customers, keeping track of the energy savings and for both electric and gas and ensure customers are receiving the proper incentives from participating in these programs and installing qualified equipment.

Q. What do you see as the biggest opportunity in your role?

A. The biggest opportunity in my position is working to spread the word to our customers about the energy saving programs we have to offer. I also find working with other departments such as Key Accounts and Economic Development as opportunities arise to share information across departments is a great advantage. Sustainability and energy efficiency go hand-in-hand. We have to continually think of creative ways to comunicate our programs for customers to reduce their energy consumption and overall carbon footprint.

Q. How do you live our values in your everyday work?

A. Coming into work every day thinking about how to put our customers first. I am happy that I am in a position where my job is to work on energy efficiency opportunities for our residential and business customers. I get to play a role in sustainability and that is something I am proud of. The opportunity to collaborate with other co-workers across departments to help our customers reduce energy usage where possible is a great way of living AVANGRID’s values in what I work on each and every day.
