AVANGRID’s new Purpose and Values recently debuted, and the “We Are AVANGRID” campaign spotlights employees who strive to make the purpose and values part of their work life.

Let’s meet Erin Ruffo, Environmental, Health and Safety Training Department Supervisor. She’s based in Rochester.

Q. How long have you been with AVANGRID?

A. Since 2001 – over 18 years.

Q: What do you love about your job?

A: When I notice my energy and passion resonate into another employee.

Q: How would you sum up what you do?

A: I coordinate and manage many of the Networks Health and Safety training programs offered here at AVANGRID.

Q: What do you see as the biggest opportunity in your role?

A: To help employees go home in the same shape, if not better, than when they came to work.

Q: How do you live our values in your everyday work?

A: The AVANGRID values are highlighted in my work as I strive to foster sustainable EHS programs that consider the balance of employee need, regulatory requirement and workload. This is accomplished by open communication with business areas as well as our internal subject matter experts, allowing for adjustments as necessary along the way to be able to meet our goals.
