Celebrating CMP’s David Weiss During National Customer Service Week

For David Weiss, Central Maine Power’s Supervisor of Customer Care, no matter the industry he’s worked in, providing top quality customer service has always been his passion. Weiss began his career in the field of customer service at the age of 14, working in Maine’s food service industry. Fast forward to 2021, Weiss will be celebrating 5 years with CMP, where he plays a vital role in ensuring our customers are cared for.

“My favorite part of my job is building relationships with our customers and helping our Customer Care team achieve our goals,” said Weiss of his role at CMP. “Providing high-quality service to our customers is important because we have been given a great responsibility to serve people a product that they rely on day in and day out.”

With his reputation as a creative thinker and problem solver, Weiss is known for his ability to help his team and CMP customers navigate challenging situations. And he does so with kindness and empathy. “I was working with a customer that was having a hard time paying their bill each and every month,” Weiss recalled. “We worked together for the better part of a month while they reached out to local organizations for assistance and we worked on different parameters. We got her established on an arrangement that worked for her and now she is on track making monthly payments.”

As a customer service leader at Central Maine Power, Weiss wants to let his team know how thankful he is for their commitment to CMP’s customers. “During National Customer Service Week, I want to thank the CMP Care Center team for all the hard work they put in every day.”
